How Grinding Advisor works

We're an independent advisory service for one of manufacturing's most expensive decisions. We don't sell machines, we don't stock inventory, and we don't take sides between builders.

The model, stated plainly

You tell us your application — parts, materials, tolerances, volumes, timeline. We compare builders on capability, match you with the ones whose machines fit, and introduce you directly. You talk to the builder: test cuts on your drawings, firm quotes, installation and training.

When an introduction turns into a closed sale, the manufacturer pays us a commission. You never pay us anything — not for the guidance, not for the comparison, not for the introduction.

Why independence matters

A dealer's job is to sell you their machines. Our job is to match your application to the right machine, whichever builder makes it. That only works if we're genuinely neutral — so we are. We'll tell you when a used machine beats new, when a different process beats grinding, and when none of our builders is the right answer. A bad recommendation earns us nothing and costs us the trust the whole thing runs on.

What we do

What we don't do

Who's behind it

Grinding Advisor is run by manufacturing people — years on the shop floor running grinders, years managing manufacturing budgets and capital equipment decisions. The authority here comes from the content, not a biography: every page shows its work, cites what's known, and says plainly what isn't.

For manufacturers. If you build grinding machines and want qualified, application-matched introductions in the North American market, talk to us. We work on commission against closed sales — no retainers, no lead fees.
