The company

Founded in Pforzheim in 1892 as a precision toolmaker, Saacke began building grinding machines for its own tool production in 1932 and sells them worldwide today: the UW-series CNC tool grinding machines and the HG 5 grinding center. The company still manufactures cutting tools itself — it is a toolmaker’s machine builder, and buyers feel that in the machine design.

Saacke is the lead company of the SAACKE Group, an association of legally independent companies; its Swiss member, TTB Engineering, builds small-diameter tool grinders and is listed separately in this directory.

US presence & contact route

Saacke publishes no US office on its official site, so the contact route for US buyers is the company itself in Pforzheim — its site runs in English. Establish who handles US sales, applications and service, and where parts ship from, before you budget a machine.
